What a strange twist.....I came to radio from a nearly 20 year
career in health care as Executive Director of a low-income OB
clinic.
My daughter Emily worked here for a few years prior and when an
opening in the office was available I applied and landed a job that
changed many things in my life. I started out as Office Manager and
now spend time as the Assistant Station Manager, and host of the
"Welcome Home" show which I truly love.
The Welcome Home Show gives me an opportunity to connect with our
listeners and do so many fun things and make so many new friends. I
was raised in Shelby County, graduated from Waldron High School and
have a degree in Medical Assisting. My husband Jim and I, as well as
my kids, (Jake, JP, and Emily), farm. We raise some beef cattle and
crops. I raise miniature horses, love my Australian Shepherd Rosie,
love to cook, go antiquing and to auctions, love country music (new
and old), flowers, hate snakes, books and being outdoors every chance I
get.
I am the youngest of the "old hippies" at WTRE.
