I have loved music as long as I can remember. It
was a long time dream to play music for people. When I was younger
I loved to listen to the dj’s ( I have several favorites) who would
play the latest and greatest. WKRP was a great show it some what
showed the behind the scenes stuff. I decided that was IT for me…Bj
the DJ sounded good as a child.
I graduated from ghs in 1997 and by that time I
had a couple of months at WTRE under my belt. I attended Ball State
University that fall and graduated in December of 2000. I came back
home and was able to continue my time at WTRE. I have been doing
news on Saturday and the Sunday morning program ever since.
I recently married my best friend Jack Powers Jr.
and we have a four year old daughter, Alexa. Jack and Alexa have
also had experience on air at WTRE. WTRE really is a family thing.
My number one fan is probably the longest
listener of Trading Post Aunt Marilyn Chauncy. (by marriage but she
still claims me)
