A total of $50,000 to be awarded for outstanding work in youth and child development


INDIANAPOLIS – A May 30 deadline is fast approaching for agencies serving Indiana youth to apply for the 2008 Indiana Youth Investment Awards from the Indiana Youth Institute (IYI).

The awards recognize ten nonprofit organizations for their outstanding efforts on behalf of Indiana youth.

Applicants may be youth-serving organizations, schools or specific programs that directly serve Indiana children and youth. Winners will receive a $5,000 cash award to be used for professional development and to enhance their work with youth. Award winners also will receive free admission for two to the Indiana Youth Institute's 2008 Kids Count in Indiana Conference Dec. 2 and 3.
