Jennifer's reporting career began while she was still in high
school. She was a student correspondent for North Decatur with a
regional newspaper in Columbus. In addition, she worked on the high
school newspaper and yearbook. After graduation, she attended
Hanover College and received a Bachelor of Arts with a double major
in Communication and History. From an internship during her college
years, she landed her first job with the Visitors Center in Columbus
and spent several years in the tourism industry there, as well as in
the Greensburg/Decatur County area. In 1992, she married Jeff
McNealy, the boy almost-next-door, and they reside on her family's
property in the southwestern portion of the county where they
frequently entertain some of their 14 nieces and nephews. In 2000,
Jennifer earned a Masters Degree in the Science of Management from
Indiana Wesleyan University. She has worked off and on for WTRE for
many years and has served as a reporter, client service manager,
office manager, and currently as news director.
