This event will be at the Entomology Field Operations Building near Purdue and at nearby apiaries. The workshop will begin at 8 a.m. with sessions covering topics about ways to troubleshoot problems in hives, how to install bees, hive and equipment inspections, grafting, and setting up starter hives with swarm boxes. Afternoon sessions will cover topics like adding queen cells to the hive, making splits and nucs, and how to check the status of the queen. The cost to attend is $20 per person, which includes lunch.
