Recent statistics have shown that breast cancer is more likely to be caught at a later stage in Decatur County, compared to national statistics. Early detection, which can be achieved through regular breast self-exams and mammograms, is the best way to find cancer in an early stage. The stage of breast cancer is important because the survival rate is increased greatly at the earlier stages of breast cancer.
Wendy Noe from the Komen Foundation will be joining us to talk about the basics of breast cancer and the importance of early detection. Decatur County Tiger Shark's Spring Stroke Clinic
Thursday, April 3rd, 3:15 to 4:15 pm at the North Lobby at Greensburg High School, $45.00 per swimmer, $10.00 per swimmer if your family is eligible for Free/Reduced Lunch program.
Be prepared to swim. Clinic will run for 4 weeks and is designed to work on one of the basic swimming strokes each week.
Held Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 3:30 to 5:00 pm from April 9 - May 3rd.
5 to 17 years old and able to swim 10 yards with no assistance is eligible.
